The image that I am selecting for the project is the view outside of my dorm in Voute. During the ongoing Covid pandemic, community has become a harder and harder thing to both find and cultivate. The impact of the pandemic goes beyond the isolation and the seemingly omnipresent nature of Covid-19. The past two years have been full of violence against marginalized communities and problematic aftershocks of the previous presidency. The view from my dorm represents the community that I was able to build with my fellow roommates despite the world around us. We would engage in countless conversations, celebrate, have dinner, and relax all accompanied with the view from our dorm. The landscape that we were able to view serves to be a manifestation of the community and the support present within our dorm.
