Open-Mindedness

Open-mindedness virtue in a red blob.

Open-mindedness: The quality of being willing to consider ideas, opinions and feelings that are new or different from your own; flexibility in taking different perspectives.

In the coding classroom, children are exposed to many different ways of doing things; whether it be programming KIBO with a repeat loop or 3 forward blocks, or programming Cat to play tag in different ways on ScratchJr, children quickly learn that there is no one right way to do things. If children understand this concept, they are more likely to explore and try new things.
