Biography:
Cesar was born in a distant and very small place called Arribeños (Argentina). Born to mixed family (Italian-Argentinian) and being a grown up, Cesar decided it was time to leave the nest and move to a big city. Already based in Santa Fe (still Argentina) Cesar studied Chemical Engineering for two years. Then, since the meat at Argentina was not attractive enough, he decided to move to Israel where he completed B. Sc., M. Sc. and Ph. D. studies in chemistry. During these years Cesar was exposed to a wide diversity of chemistry: while TA organic chemistry he explored the dark side of bio-inorganic chemistry. Under the supervision of Prof. Edit Tshuva, Cesar explored some mechanistic aspects of the cytotoxic activity of titanium(IV)-salen complexes. Since we still have planes and the world is small, Cesar decided to fly back to this side of the planet and performed a postdoctoral study with Prof C. Cummins at MIT. There he was exposed to an extensive work with transition metals and main group chemistry using metaphosphate ligands. Besides traveling, Cesar enjoys singing karaoke, playing guitar and basketball as well as watching Barcelona and good movies.
