The Data Visualization Lab is part of the Center for Integrated Environmental Systems Research (CIESR) created in partnership with the Schiller Institute. CIESR was formed through a collaboration between the Earth and Environmental Sciences Department and the Engineer Research & Development Center at the US Army Corps of Engineers. CIESR advances research to address the intersection of environment-energy-health issues across the globe. The data viz lab supports this interdisciplinary environmental research by acting as a resource to the BC community.
The data viz lab is a space where you can create visual graphics to effectively communicate your message. Often we achieve this using interactive maps, illustrations, charts and diagrams to simplify complex data. The data viz lab will offer consultations and act as a user space for your creative and scientific visualization needs.
If you are interested in learning more about the lab please email Dr. Kate Willis, Data Viz Lab Asst. Director williski@bc.edu.
