We have been awarded a 2023 DOE Early Career Award!
In Their Own Words: Xinyue Zhang
Xinyue Zhang’s journey from art and solitude to physics and powerlifting.
Tuning in to AC/DC with quantum sensors
Congrats to Xin-Yue Zhang and Yu-Xuan Wang on the exciting work!
Mapping photocurrents with quantum sensors
Spatiotemporal mapping of a photocurrent vortex in monolayer MoS2 using diamond quantum sensors. Phys. Rev. X 10, 011003 (2020).
Our first year in pictures…
We’ve made a lot of progress in our first year and even counted a few (hundred billion) photons.
Quantum impurities shine on progress report!
Writing with international co-authors, we highlight progress on using spins at solid-state impurities to create quantum-entangled networks, quantum simulators, and ultra-precise sensors. We are working hard to contribute to this emerging field! (link)
Zero photons and counting…
The Zhou Lab is launched at Boston College! We are excited to add our expertise in quantum spin defects to the Department of Physics’ toolkit in condensed matter theory and experiment. Get ready for an action-packed Fall ’18 inaugural semester!
