Description of Data Collection:
Since this is a new program in the Office, a short assessment was delivered to students following each of the sessions. The survey measured the following things: Their overall satisfaction with the session/workshop, their satisfaction with the time/length of the session, to what extent they felt the presenter was knowledgeable and engaging, and collected other qualitative feedback.
Review Process:
This data is collected by the Office of Graduate Student Life. Survey’s are administered and reviewed by the Graduate Assistant in Charge of the Program.
Resulting Program Changes:
GLP 2020 was an incredibly successful program, especially for being the first year of the program. It started online and was moved to online in March of 2020. GLP 2021 was completely online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Here are highlights from the 2021 program: 100% of students agreed or strongly agreed they developed their leadership skills, 100% agreed or strongly agreed they can better articulate their skills to others, including in job interviews. Finally, 100% of students agreed that GLP should remain a signature program in the OGSL. It was difficult to implement any substantial changes with the switch to remote, but we made sure to make any little changes that need to be made throughout the program
