Description of Data Collection:

The Conduct Assessment Survey


Review Process:

An Associate Director of Student Conduct collects the data each month by emailing the survey link to students who were adjudicated through the student conduct process. The Associate Director analyzes the data in the later part of the Spring Semester and collaborates with other team members to analyze the findings and make conclusions.


Resulting Program Changes:

We utilize the data to understand student perceptions of the process and modify the training of hearing officers if needed to improve the student learning and experience. We also examine the data by demographic data and look at whether certain populations of students are experiencing the process differently. The survey data indicates that students are generally reflecting and learning during the conduct process, indicating that the hearings and the educational and formative sanctions that follow are having a positive impact on student development following an incident. Evidence has shown that differing identity groups similarly experience the BC student conduct process and achieve several learning outcomes.
