Description of Data Collection:

This program was launched in the Fall of 2020, and thus is just completing its second year. We are conducting an ongoing formative evaluation of the program, including student surveys and focus groups, to supplement our review of syllabi and course evaluations. Over time, we also hope to develop a practice of exit interviews and longitudinal follow-up interviews to see how the TES major serves graduates over time.


Review Process:

The program coordinator will present the survey and focus group results to the program faculty, department chair, and Dean of Undergraduate Students. The formative evaluation is being spearheaded by doctoral student under the direction of a faculty member specializing in evaluation research, from outside the program


Resulting Program Changes:

No formal changes have been made because the B.A. in Transformative Studies program is in its second year. We are closely advising and monitoring students’ progress.
