Registration is first come, first serve. It will close on January 30th. If you are signing up as a team, make sure all team members fill out the form! If a team member waits too long, spots may fill up!
The event will take place at 245 Beacon Street – the BC Makerspace!
The Hatchery is open to all current Boston College students (undergraduate, graduate, and staff). In order to use the Hatchery, you must complete an orientation, which can be found here. Once you have completed the orientation, you will be able to sign up for various machinery and design trainings through the QReserve site. Be sure to sign in with Boston College as a partner! Completing the orientation will allow you to use basic tools in the Hatchery, but trainings will expand you to areas such as the wood shop and machinery such as the 3D printer, laser cutter, vinyl machine, and more!
You will not be required to complete any work prior to the event. The Spiritual Hackathon is meant to be a low-stress and fun event to attend on a Sunday! Although projects will be scored by judges and prizes will be distributed, the day is designed to build community and to have fun while making.

The best teams are those that encourage collaboration, creativity, and diversity of skills.A strong team typically includes a mix of roles—for example, programmers, designers, and communicators or domain experts. We will use the information you provided to us in the registration to form teams that encourage diversity across gender, background, and expertise to promote innovation.
Participants are asked to sign a consent form to ensure that their involvement is fully informed, voluntary, and respectful of personal boundaries. Because the Spiritual Hackathon invites deep reflection, creative collaboration, and the sharing of personal insights, consent helps safeguard participants’ privacy. It also clarifies that the experience may be observed or documented for research and educational purposes, allowing organizers to learn from participants’ experiences in order to design better, more meaningful future programs.
