International Symposia on Jesuit Studies<\/a> are held on an annual basis, providing opportunities for academic exchange within the global community of Jesuit Studies scholars. Each year, the Institute invites some of the presenters to revise their presentations into essays, which are peer reviewed and published, both in print and online in Open Access.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The volumes of presentations from the 2015 and 2016 symposia are available in Open Access as part of Brill\u2019s Jesuit Studies book series<\/a>\u00a0(<\/span>Exploring Jesuit Distinctiveness: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Ways of Proceeding within the Society of Jesus<\/i><\/a><\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0Encounters between Jesuits and Protestants in Africa<\/a><\/em>). Brill has also published volumes emerging from the 2017 and 2018 events.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Beginning with the 2019 International Symposium on Jesuit Studies, Jesuit Sources will publish the selected proceedings, and all peer-reviewed essays will be hosted at the Portal to Jesuit Studies. The volumes appear as part IJS Studies<\/em>, an imprint at Jesuit Sources dedicated to\u00a0research on Jesuits and the Society of Jesus. This series features peer-reviewed secondary scholarship examining Jesuit history, spirituality, pedagogy, and other themes.<\/p>\n
