The text is published by four authors:\u00a0V\u00edctor M. Fern\u00e1ndez \u00a0of Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Jorge de Torres of the British Museum, Andreu Mart\u00ednez d\u2019Al\u00f2s-Moner of the University of Gond\u00e4r, Ethiopia, and Carlos Ca\u00f1ete of\u00a0the Centro de Ciencias Humanas y Sociales in Madrid.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to the publisher, <em>The Archaeology of the Jesuit Missions in Ethiopia\u00a0<\/em>provides the first comprehensive\u00a0examination of the &#8220;missionary architecture&#8221; of the churches, royal residences, and other royal structures built by &#8220;Jesuit <em>padres<\/em>, Ethiopian and Indian masons, and royal Ethiopian patrons.&#8221; The book considers ten known extant sites&#8211;from F\u01ddremona and the Royal-Missionary Complex of Az\u00e4zo-G\u00e4nn\u00e4t\u00e4 Iy\u00e4sus to D\u00e4nq\u00e4z and Qw\u00e4ll\u00e4la&#8211;as well as hypothesizes on the so-called &#8220;&#8216;lost&#8217; missions.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>More information about this title, including a detailed table of contents, is available through Brill (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/brill.com\/abstract\/title\/26801\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/www.brill.com\/products\/book\/archaeology-jesuit-missions-ethiopia-1557-1632<\/a><\/strong>).
