It oversees the archives of the central government for the Society of Jesus. ARSI also has a publishing division, Institutum Historicum Societatis Iesu (IHSI). Founded in 1930, the IHSI has <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sjweb.info\/arsi\/en\/publications\/ihsi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">several book series<\/a><\/strong> and a biennial, peer-reviewed journal, the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sjweb.info\/arsi\/en\/publications\/ahsi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Archivum Historicum Societatis Iesu<\/em><\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0<b><strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Institute collaborates with ARSI to provide free access to the <a href=\"https:\/\/jesuitonlinebibliography.bc.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jesuit Online Bibliography<\/a>.<\/span><\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>\u00a0<em><strong>Boston College Libraries<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 25px;\">Consisting of eight separate libraries, the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/library.bc.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Boston College Libraries<\/a><\/strong> seek to go beyond helping users find relevant information to integrate information resources into all aspects of teaching, learning, and research, with a particular focus to promote freely accessible online resources. The Institute collaborates closely with the Libraries both in developing the Portal and in providing free online access to the Libraries\u2019 collection of Jesuitica.\u00a0The Institute also collaborates with the Libraries to provide free access to the <b><strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/jesuitonlinebibliography.bc.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jesuit Online Bibliography<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/b> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/jesuitonlinelibrary.bc.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jesuit Online Library<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><em><strong>Brill Publishers<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 25px;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.brill.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brill Publishers<\/a><\/strong> has been one of the world\u2019s leading publishing houses in the humanities for more than three centuries. The Institute collaborates closely with Brill to provide free online access to the Jesuit Historiography Online, the <em>Journal of Jesuit Studies<\/em>, and selected presentations at the International Symposia on Jesuit Studies.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong><em>Conimbricenses.org\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 25px;\">As the first digital project on the Coimbra Jesuit Aristotelian tradition, The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.conimbricenses.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Conimbricenses.org<\/a> Project publishes peer-reviewed encyclopedia entries and provides free, worldwide access to digitized versions of the most important documents related to the topic. The Institute collaborates with the project&#8217;s director and editor to include the articles within the Portal&#8217;s search capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong><em>Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 25px;\">The <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jesuits.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States<\/a><\/strong> acts as the liaison between the provinces of North America, various national associations, and the Society\u2019s international headquarters in Rome. The Institute collaborates with the Jesuit Conference to secure permission to provide free online access to the <em>Jesuit Educational Quarterly<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong><em>Jesuit Sources<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 25px;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/jesuitsources.bc.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jesuit Sources<\/a><\/strong>, founded at St. Louis in 1961 as the Institute of Jesuit Sources, has published more than 100 volumes to fill a mission to preserve, maintain, and expand for scholars around the world important texts and studies in Jesuit history, spirituality, and pedagogy. The Institute collaborates with Jesuit Sources to provide free online access to selections of its primary sources in English translation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><em><strong>The Jesuitica Project at KU Leuven<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 25px;\"><b><\/b><b><strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jesuitica.be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>The Jesuitica Project<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/b><b><strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a collaborative initiative from the University of Leuven (KU Leuven, Belgium) and the Jesuit Region of European Low Countries, the former provinces of the Netherlands and North Belgium (Flanders). Its main goal is to stimulate research into the history and spirituality of the Jesuits by making the rich collections of Jesuit books in the <a href=\"https:\/\/theo.kuleuven.be\/gbib_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maurits Sabbe Library<\/a> accessible and by hosting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jesuitica.be\/\">www.jesuitica.be<\/a>,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a website that offers a virtual portal with digital tools for the research community. The Institute collaborates with the Jesuitica Project to provide free access to the <a href=\"https:\/\/jesuitonlinebibliography.bc.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jesuit Online Bibliography<\/a>.<\/span><\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><em><strong>Maryland Province of the Society of Jesus<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 25px;\">The <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mdsj.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Maryland Province<\/a><\/strong> has roots dating back to 1634, with the arrival of the first Jesuit missionaries in Maryland, and oversees current works in nine states. The Institute collaborates with the Maryland Province to provide free online access to <em>Woodstock Letters<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong><em>(The former) Oregon Province\/Jesuits West<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 25px;\">In 2017, the Oregon Province was reunited with the California Province (the two split as distinct provinces in 1932), <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/jesuitswest.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jesuits West<\/a><\/strong>. The Institute collaborated with the Oregon Province to provide free online access to scholarship by the province\u2019s late historian, Joseph F. Conwell, S.J.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><em><strong>Province d<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019<\/span>Europe Occidentale Francophone<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 25px;\">The Superior General of the Society of Jesus established the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jesuites.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Province d<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019<\/span>Europe Occidentale Francophone<\/strong><\/a> in 2017, combining the Jesuits in French-speaking Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Greece and Mauritius. The Institute collaborates with Europe<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019<\/span>s Francophone province to provide free online access to <em>Lettres de Jersey<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><em><strong>Prov\u00edncia Portuguesa<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 25px;\">The Jesuits<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019<\/span>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pontosj.pt\/jesuitas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>province in Portugal<\/strong><\/a> was the first established by Ignatius, founded in 1546. The Institute collaborates with Prov\u00edncia Portuguesa to provide free online access to\u00a0<em>Hist\u00f3ria da Companhia de Jesus na Assist\u00eancia de Portugal<\/em>, the province&#8217;s seven-volume history written by\u00a0Francisco Rodrigues.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><em><strong>Seminar on Jesuit Spirituality<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 25px;\">The <strong>Seminar on Jesuit Spirituality<\/strong> was founded in 1969 by George Ganss, S.J., for the education and edification of Jesuits and continues to publish scholarly essays on issues such as the vows in the Society of Jesus, historical events and figures, and spiritual doctrine of the Jesuits.
