Former Research:
As part of the Byers group, Audrey’s research is focused on performing a hydroalkoxylation of both aliphatic and benzylic olefins via various Fe transition-metal complexes. The goal of this project is to improve a traditionally inefficient reaction and expand the applications of Fe catalysts synthesized by the Byers group.
Biography:
Audrey is originally from Chevy Chase, Maryland and began her undergraduate studies at Boston College in 2015. She is a biochemistry and international studies double major with the intent to pursue a career in healthcare. At BC, Audrey is also a council member for the PULSE program and a trip leader for the Outdoor Adventures program. She joined the Byers group at the beginning of the spring semester, 2017.
