The Limudei Code-Esh project integrates coding, robotics, and computational thinking with Judaic Studies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Collaborating with Jewish educators representing different denominations in the Greater Boston area, the DevTech Research Group developed six free curricula units for Jewish holidays (Sukkot<\/a>, Chanukkah<\/a>, Tu B\u2019shevat<\/a>, Purim<\/a>, Pesach<\/a>, Yom Ha\u2019atzmaut<\/a>) for children in kindergarten – third grade using either the ScratchJr<\/a> or KIBO<\/a> platform. The curricula units can be found below, organized by type of platform being used and difficulty level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each curriculum encourages students to express their thoughts, ideas, and learning through coding activities that explore each holiday’s concepts and rituals. Each curriculum unit is designed for a total of 20 hours, but they can be adapted and used in any formal or informal learning settings around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
