Woodworking in the Spaces
By accomplishing the different levels of trainings that are offered, anyone can become a master wood worker here at BC. The trainings begin with hand tools.
Hand Tool Training: The Hand Tools training consists of an overview of navigating the tool wall with tutorials in measuring and marking, cutting, mechanical advantage, electrical advantage, and finishing. Through this training you will obtain your Hand Tools Training ID, unlock access to tools in The Cubby, and build a handy-dandy-super-cool-totally-awesome flower box!
Woodworking I: Through the Woodworking I Training, you will master The Cubby with the bandsaw, drill press, miter saw, and sanders. You will also get more practice in safely utilizing the nail gun in order to create your very own desk organizer! After obtaining your Spectacular™ Woodworking I Training ID, you can work on projects in The Cubby with access to all of those machines.
Woodworking II: After mastering Hand Tools and Woodworking I, you will be able to take individual, a la carte trainings in the upstairs AP Studio machinery. This includes the planer, scroll saw, and router table as well as reviews of the upstairs drill press, miter saw and bandsaw!
