It runs several different local rails, commuter rails, and buses around the Boston Metro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Most of Boston&#8217;s stations should have kiosks where you can buy the local MBTA card<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each train ride is $2.40, and bus ride is $1.70<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Boston College is located at the end of the <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Green Line (B)<\/span><\/strong> or <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Green Line (D)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">one-week parking permit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The best option would be to buy a 1-week summer permit for $98 (includes overnight parking). It would allow one to park in the Mod lot and Connell lot (NOT in the garages). You can use <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfi6p9eLoow9KXIbYIbln9RkIeLJRs6TDfp-lwBuaLiWWueFQ\/viewform\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfi6p9eLoow9KXIbYIbln9RkIeLJRs6TDfp-lwBuaLiWWueFQ\/viewform\">this online form<\/a> to reserve one (NOTE: Remember to put down &#8220;CFMIP Conference&#8221; as &#8220;Reason for needing permit&#8221;), and pick it up at Lyons on 6\/3. Payment is by check or money order made out to Boston College. <br><br>More instructions on parking from BC: &#8220;If you arrive on Sunday, please take a ticket and park inside the Commonwealth Avenue garage between levels\u00a02-5. On Monday, you will need to take your\u00a0<strong>garage\u00a0ticket<\/strong>\u00a0to Student Services to have it validated &#8211; this will allow you to exit the garage for free when you scan it at the exit. During your visit to\u00a0Student Services, you can also pick up your permit which will begin working the next time they enter the garage.&#8221;<br><br>See these links for information on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bc.edu\/bc-web\/admission\/visit\/hotels-directions-parking.html#tab-driving_directions_gps_navigation\">driving directions<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Getting to Boston<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two major ways to get to Boston:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Flying into Boston via Boston Logan International Airport<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Taking the Amtrak (Northeast Corridor, Lakeshore Limited) into South Station<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Transportation from Airport<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>MBTA (Public Transportation)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Take a free Logan Airport shuttle bus to <strong>the MBTA Blue Line Airport station<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mbta.com\/fares_and_passes\/charlie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Purchase a Charlie Card or Charlie Ticket<\/a>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take the <strong>Blue Line<\/strong> inbound train to <strong>Government Center<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take the <strong>Green Line (B)<\/strong> from Government Center to <strong>Boston College<\/strong> (Important Note: ensure that the train is going west towards <strong>Boston College<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Taxi<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>From the airport terminal, follow the signs to Ground Transportation where you can take a taxi to campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Uber\/Lyft<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Rideshare apps such as Uber and Lyft offer service from Logan Airport.
